IPL 2020: Ravichandran Ashwin Traded off to Delhi Capitals by KXIP, Says, ‘Will Miss my Teammates’

The IPL 2020 is just a few months away and the franchisees have already started picking up on the players. For a long time now, there were speculations about Ravichandran Ashwin being traded off to Delhi Capitals from Kings XI Punjab for the IPL 2020. The off-spinner had spent a couple of years at the Kings XI Punjab.

The IPL 2020 is just a few months away and the franchisees have already started picking up on the players. For a long time now, there were speculations about Ravichandran Ashwin being traded off to Delhi Capitals from Kings XI Punjab for the IPL 2020. The off-spinner had spent a couple of years at the Kings XI Punjab and finally, he has been swapped with left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith. Ravichandran Ashwin began the season with extreme determination but the team could not reach the play-offs. While speaking about his two-year stint coming to an end, Ashwin said, "It has been a wonderful journey with Kings XI Punjab. I will always look back fondly at the two years I spent with the Kings and will miss all my teammates. I am looking ahead to new challenges. I would also like to thank the fans for their endless support over the two years, it was incredible to see them come out and support their team."

From the two seasons, Ashwin snapped a total of 25 wickets was the second-highest wicket-taker in 2019 edition. Apart from his wickets, Ashwin also remained in the news for the mankading incident when he dismissed Jos Butler in a controversial manner. The incident was spoken about widely and Ashwin was criticised widely by the netizens. Speaking about the IPL 2020, the auctions for the upcoming season is reportedly supposed to happen on December 12, 2019.
