Australian pacer Pat Cummins bagged a mammoth amount of 15.5 crores by Kolkata Knight Riders and is all set to play for the franchise in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. Cummins have also become the most expensive foreign player, overtaking Ben Stokes and the Kolkata side will be expecting the speedster to put up a brilliant performance and guide the team to the title. Cummins has been in brilliant form off-late and got awarded in the 2020 IPL Players auction. The demand for overseas quicks is expected to be high with all six franchises barring Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians looking for a seasoned pacer. Cummins, the No.1 Test bowler, is the best option with Mitchell Starc opting out of the auction. In the 2017 IPL, he was the leading wicket-taker for the Daredevils (now Capitals) with 15 wickets. Cummins has control and guile which is vital for the format besides his wicket-taking ability.
