IPL 2020 Player Auction: Jason Roy Sold For 1.5 Crore to Delhi Capitals, Robin Uthappa Pocketed By Rajasthan Royals For 3 Crore
After a lot of anticipation, finally, the IPL 2019 auctions began today in Kolkata. The tug of war for the shaping the team has begun and one of the first set of players included Robin Uthappa and Jason Roy. After spending six years at the Kolkata Knight Riders, Robin Uthappa was released from the team after a poor show at the IPL 2019. Uthappa was now bought by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 3.00 crores.

After spending six years at the Kolkata Knight Riders, Robin Uthappa was released from the team after a poor show at the IPL 2019. Uthappa was now bought by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 3.00 crores. England’s Jason Roy who played for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2018, will be donning the colours of the team from the capital city. Jason Roy was bagged by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 1.50 crore. Out of the 12 matches played last year at the IPL 2019, Uthappa scored 282 runs which also included the highest score of 67 runs unbeaten. The right-hander could score only one half-century in the last season. Talking about Jason Roy, in 2018, he appeared in five matches for the Delhi Capitals and scored 120 runs with an average of 30.00. His score of 91 runs unbeaten was the highest score for the English player. in IPL 2018, Roy had scored only one half-century.

In the first set, it was Hanuma Vihari, Cheteshwar Pujara who remained unsold. So far in the first set, Eoin Morgan was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders, whereas, Chris Lynn, who did wonders with the bat at the T10 League in Abu Dhabi was sold off to Mumbai Indians.
