5 Players Who Can Get Highest Bid in IPL 2020 Auction

Jason Roy

Jason Roy has played for Delhi Daredevils now known as Delhi Capitals and for Gujarat Lions in IPL. He has only featured in season 10 and 11 where his stats were not good. The English batsman has only scored 179 runs from eight matches with an average of 29.83 and highest score of 91 runs. Now you must be wondering why he will draw the highest bid in the upcoming auction, after being unsold in the previous one. This is due to his brilliant performance in the recently-concluded ICC CWC 2019. The English opening batsman scored 443 runs from eight matches with the highest score of 153 runs and strike rate of 115.36. All eight franchises for sure will look forward to including this talented player in their squad.

Matt Henry

New Zealand cricket team pace bowler Matt Henry is hardly known for his presence in IPL. He has played only two matches for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2017 where he bagged only one wicket. However, the story is different now for the Kiwi pacer who had a great time in ICC CWC 2019. Henry bagged 14 wickets from nine games in World Cup 2019 and we can never forget his match-winning performance against India in the semi-final of CWC 19 where he bagged Man of the Match award for his figures of 3/37. Franchises are expected to bid a high amount for the New Zealand pacer. IPL 2020 Player Auction: Check Out The Balance and Auction Purse of Each Franchise in Indian Premier League Season 13.

Hazratullah Zazai

The Afghanistan cricket team all-rounder Hazratullah Zazai was not picked up by any franchise in the previous auction. People from cricketing fraternity were not happy with this decision as he has quick run making abilities and is able to smash the ball out of the park at any given time. The 21 years olf Afghanistan batsman has played ten T20Is where he has made 470 runs with the strike rate of 173.4 which includes a century and two half-centuries. In February, 2019 he played a massive knock of 162 runs from 62 balls which helped Afghanistan post a record total of 278/3 in the 2nd T20I against Ireland. While playing for Kabul Zwanan in Afghanistan Premier League 2018 he also smashed six sixes against Balkh Legends. These accolades are enough for this young Afghan star to make his appearance in IPL 2020.

Mark Wood

Mark Wood is another infamous name in IPL, who has only played one match for Chennai Super Kings in the year 2018 where he went wicketless. The franchise will consider this English fast bowler for his brilliant bowling performance in ICC CWC 2019. English pacer Mark Wood contributed immensely in his team World Cup 2019 victory where he bagged 18 wickets from 10 matches with best figures of 3/18. This can help Mark Wood bag good bid in IPL 2019 auction.

Mustafizur Rahman

This Bangladesh pacer has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. Mustafizur Rahman missed out IPL 2019 due to World Cup preparation. He had a decent IPL 2016 while playing for Hyderabad where he bagged 17 wickets from 16 games, after that he was picked by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018 where he bagged 7 wickets from 7 games. Rahman has taken 52 wickets from 34 T20Is which also include a five wickets haul. Franchises will consider him as a pace bowler in their team and he is expected to get a decent bid.

Before IPL 2020 auction, every team will get an additional 3 crores rupees amount added in their purse. The balance left with each team for IPL 2020 auction will be INR 8.2 crore for Delhi Capital, INR 7.15 crore for Rajasthan Royals, INR 6.05 crore for Kolkata Knight Riders, INR 5.3 crore for Sunrisers Hyderabad, INR 3.7 crore for Kings XI Punjab.
