Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders appointed David Hussey as their new Chief Mentor and Kyle Mills as their new bowling coach. Former Australian cricketer Hussey and former Kiwi pacer Mills will be mentoring the team during IPL 2020. KKR revealed the news on their official Twitter account. Recently, Brendon McCullum was appointed as the head coach of the IPL team.

“ANNOUNCEMENT: We have @DavidHussey29 joining us as the Chief Mentor, along with @kylemills79, who will serve as the Bowling Coach of #KKR in the upcoming editions of #IPL2020 #KorboLorboJeetbo”, KKR wrote on Twitter. Brendon McCullum Appointed as Head Coach of Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2020.

Hussey has also played for KKR in 2008, 2009 and 2010 editions of IPL. David Hussey played 69 ODIs, 39 T20Is during his international cricket career in which he smashed 1796 and 756 runs respectively. The 42-year-old former cricketer also played 64 IPL games, in which he scored 1322 runs in 61 innings. Kyle Mills played 19 Tests, 170 ODIs and 42 T20Is for New Zealand. He bagged 44 wickets in Tests and 240 wickets in ODIs. KKR parted ways with their previous coach Jacques Kallis after a poor show in IPL 2019. KKR finished on the 5th spot in IPL 2019 points table, with 6 victories from 14 matches. KKR has won the IPL trophy two times- in 2012 and 2014 under the captainship of Gautam Gambhir. Currently, Dinesh Karthik is the skipper of the IPL franchise.
