All the teams i.e. Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad have released the player extension contract, deadline of which ended on Friday (November 15). CSK retained the most number of players 20 while RCB retained the least number of players 13. A total of 127 players were retained by the eight franchises. These included 35 overseas players. Royal Challengers released the most number of players 12 while Sunrisers Hyderabad have released the least number of five players from their squad. After the announcement of player extension contract for IPL 2020, Kings XI Pubjab have the highest salary cap available at 42.70 crore while Mumbai Indians have the lowest 13.5 crore. RCB have the highest number of player slots available with 12 while CSK have least with five.
