The auctions for the upcoming season of Indian Premier Leagues just a couple of months away. Yes! You read it right. With about seven months to go for the Indian Premier League 12, the teams have already started preparing for the upcoming season. Now, as per the recent report, the auctions for IPL 2020, will be held on December 2019. A few teams have already started making changes to their squads. Like Delhi Capital have traded Mayank Markande with West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford from Mumbai Indians. IPL 2020 Transfer Window: Mumbai Indians Release Mayank Markande in Exchange of Sherfane Rutherford With Delhi Capitals.

The mega auctions of the team already happened in December 2018. This year the teams would have a mini-auction as most of the players would remain the same for the franchisees. The report further states that the mini-auction will see an increase of Rupees three crore, which means the franchisees can spend up to Rs 86 crore.  However, the official confirmation is yet to come from the official authorities of the IPL.  The authorities are yet to release the list of underperforming players.

This proves to be quite a good opportunity for the teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore and King XI Punjab to revamp their module after a string of poor performances. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will also be making a few changes in their squads. Whereas, teams like Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be happy with their squad. For now, we wait for the official authorities of the IPL to give an official confirmation about the auctions.
