The Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019) playoffs schedule is out. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the overall schedule of IPL 2019 in part due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country. After releasing the IPL 2019 schedule of the first two weeks, the board then announced complete schedule till the first round. And now, the IPL 2019 playoffs schedule has been released as well. The IPL 2019 playoffs will take place from May 07 and the final will be held on May 12. The first round of IPL 2019 ends on May 05. Instead of Chennai hosting the final, it will be held in Hyderabad. Three stands at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai which are closed due to legal issues has cost the city to host the final. The gate money in the IPL playoffs goes to BCCI and the board doesn’t want to lose out due to the three closed stands. However, Chennai will host the Qualifier 1. Teams finishing first and second on the IPL 2019 points table will take on each other in the Qualifier 1. The winner of this contest will directly proceed to the final of 2019 IPL. The third and fourth placed teams will face-off in the Eliminator and the winner will face the loser of Qualifier 1 for the second spot in finals. IPL 2019 Points Table Updated.

Meanwhile, defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is the only team to have qualified for the playoffs. The rest teams are now fighting for three available places. While CSK are top of IPL 2019 points table, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad complete the top-four.
