Well, the Final is far away, and the excitement in the league stage is paramount. Keeping the remaining matches in mind, here are the possibilities for all the eight franchises for their qualification.

1. Delhi Capitals – 12M – 8W – 4L – 16P- Qualified

With a renewed franchise name this season, the Delhi Capitals has managed to turn around their fortunes this year. With 8 wins and 4 losses so far, DC is atop the Points Table with 16 points in their kitty. Delhi Capitals have already qualified for the Playoffs with a superior Net Run Rate (NRR). RCB vs RR, IPL 2019: Shreyas Gopal Takes 'Dream' Hat-trick in Rain-hit Tie as RCB Knocked out of Indian Premier League 12.

Next matches: vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 1; vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 4.

2. Chennai Super Kings – 12M – 8W – 4L – 16P- Qualified

Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings were on the Points Table until their last match against Mumbai Indians. With 16 points in their bag after 8 wins and 4 losses in the league, CSK is now on the second spot of the league standings and have sealed their berth too.

Next matches: vs Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 1; vs Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on May 5.

3. Mumbai Indians – 12M – 7W – 5L – 14P

Drubbing the tag of slow beginners, Mumbai Indians have been one of the best sides this IPL. With 7 wins and 5 losses, MI is on the 3rd spot of the Points Table, with the second best NRR amongst the top 5 teams. A win in the remaining two matches will be enough to see them in the Playoffs; however, if things go awry, they will have to win both their matches to cement their place in the last 4.

Next matches: vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 2; vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 5.

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 12M – 6W – 6L – 12P

Despite David Warner being the highest scorer in the season so far, the Sunrisers Hyderabad has blown hot-and-cold this season, largely due to their bowling. With only 6 wins in 12 matches, SRH is on the 4th spot of the Points Table with 12 points. To seal the berth in the IPL 2019 Playoffs’ SRH will have to win all of their remaining matches if the other results fall as per their calculations. A higher NRR currently, will help see them through. IPL 2019 Today's Cricket Match Schedule, Start Time, Points Table, Live Streaming, Live Score of May 1 T20 Game and Highlights of Previous Match!.

Next matches: vs Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 2; vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 4.

5. Rajasthan Royals – 13M – 5W – 7L – 1NR – 10P

Barring a few bright performances here and there, Rajasthan Royals never really got going in this IPL season. The franchise has won only five matches and rather lost 7 matches this season, for which they earned 10 points. A no-contest against RCB has helped them add one more point to 11. For them to qualify, RR will have to win their last match – which will be a tough ask. The chances are dim for the team even if they win, as then they will have to wait for other results to fall in place, because of their less NRR.

Next matches: vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 30; vs Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 4.

6. Kolkata Knight Riders – 12M – 5W – 7L – 10P

It is unbelievable to see KKR languishing in the Points Table where they are currently, despite their all-rounder being in super-hot-form. After beginning their season with a bang, the team lost 6 matches in a row, before winning against Mumbai Indians. With two matches remaining in the league, KKR will have to win, and win massively to boost their NRR, if other results fall in place. Two wins in two matches will not guarantee a spot, but two big wins will definitely brighten their chances.

Next matches: vs Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on May 3; vs Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 5.

7. Kings XI Punjab – 12M – 5W – 7L – 10P

Kings XI Punjab, like SRH, has struggled in the season because of their inconsistent bowling attack despite the batting lineup being in a great form. R Ashwin-led side has managed to win 5 matches in 12 games they have played in this IPL. For KXIP to qualify, they will have to win all of their remaining two matches to brighten their chances for Playoffs. However, even if KXIP win all their matches, they might not qualify because of their lower NRR – which is lowest amongst all the top 5 teams.

Next matches: vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 3; vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 5

8.. Royal Challengers Bangalore – 13M – 4W – 8L – 1NR – 8P

Giving their one of their worst performances in IPL history, RCB are out of this season. With only four wins in 13 matches, the team is languishing at the bottom of the IPL 12 Points Table. The team has been ousted from the race to the playoffs.

Also, it was very warm to see respective franchises’ warm welcome to David Warner and Steve Smith – with the former currently being the Orange Cap holder.
