All-rounder Ben Stokes has left the Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019) for his national duties. Stokes is part of England team which will take on Ireland and Pakistan ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Emotionally charged Stokes in his speech told teammates that after his national side England and Durham, he holds a special place for Rajasthan Royals team in his heart. Apart from Stokes, fast bowler Jofra Archer has also left for his national duty. In coming days, Royal’s skipper will Steve Smith will also leave after the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Stokes did not had a great IPL 2019 and was left out of the playing XI following some poor performances. With the bat, the all-rounder managed only 123 runs from nine matches, averaging 20.50. With the ball, Stokes managed to pick only six wickets.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in a must-win game at home and will be without Stokes and Archer. Royals are currently placed seventh on the IPL 2019 points table with four wins from 11 matches.
