Virat Kohli once again led from the front to help Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) register a crucial win against Delhi Daredevils (DD) at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Kohli and AB de Villiers smashed half-centuries each as RCB chased down 182 with an over and five wickets to spare. While Kohli scored 70, de Villiers remained unbeaten on 72. During RCB chase, in the seventh over, an incident took place between Daredevils’ wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and Kohli. A Fan Touches Virat Kohli’s Feet During DD vs RCB Match

At the start of the over, Pant was heard saying something. It appeared as if the wicketkeeper was trying to sledge the batsman. Pant was actually cheering the bowler. However, Kohli too felt that the wicketkeeper was trying to deviate him. The RCB skipper then turned back and gave Pant a stare. It eventually ended with both Kohli and Pant smiling. At that time Kohli was batting on 40 and was looking solid as usual.

Here’s the video of the incident:

Kohli eventually registered his 34th IPL fifty and was dismissed in the 14th over with RCBs score reading 136 for three. It was ABD then who guided RCB to the victory and kept his side in the race for a place in playoffs. This was RCB’s only fourth win of the season from 11 matches as they languish at the seventh position on the IPL 2018 points table.

RCB will now take on Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their raining matches. The Kohli-led side not only needs to win all the remaining fixtures but will have to depend on other results to advance to next round.
