Not just in the field, Kohli, as usual, was superb with the bat as well. The RCB skipper scored his 33rd IPL fifty and helped RCB post a competitive total of 175. Kohli scored unbeaten 68 off 44 balls and smashed five fours and three sixes during his knock.

However, Kohli’s heroics didn’t prove to be enough as Knight Riders chased down the total. Chris Lynn scored unbeaten 62 to guide his side to victory. This was KKR’s fourth win from eight matches while for RCB it was fifth defeat from seven matches.

RCB are currently seventh-placed on the IPL 2018 points table. And need wins in upcoming matches to stay alive in the tournament. The Kohli-led side takes on defending champions Mumbai Indians next at home on May 01 and Chennai Super Kings in an away fixture on may 05.
