Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman will play for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL 2018). The left-arm was associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad for two years and now will represent the three-time champions. Ahead of the IPL 2018, Mumbai Indians have appointed an English translator for Mustafizur. Former Bangladesh cricketer Nafees Iqbal has joined the Mumbai Indians camp and will help Mustafizur in communicating with the team management.

“It happened all of sudden and now I am in the Mumbai tent. My job will be to guide Mustafizur in the tournament and ensure the team management gets the best out of him,” Nafees was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.

Interestingly, Nafees has worked as a manager for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Khulna Titans, a team coached by Mahale Jayawardene. The Sri Lankan is also the coach of Mumbai Indians and it is believed that he has played a part in hiring Nafees Iqbal’s services.

Mumbai Indians will open their campaign against Chennai Super Kings on the opening day of IPL 2018. Along with Mustafizur, Jasprit Bumrah is likely to open the bowling for the defending champions.
