IPL 2018: Instead of VIP Stand Rahul Dravid Sits With Crowd During RCB vs KKR Match (Video Inside)
Rahul Dravid once again showed his humble nature.
One thing that never stops to amaze us is how down to earth former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid is. During Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL 2018) match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rahul Dravid along with his wife and son was spotted in the general stand instead of any VIP enclosure. And that once again proves, how down to earth Dravid earth. Rahul Dravid For Prime Minister?
In a video shared on Twitter by the official handle of IPL, Dravid can be seen with his son and wife. “Look who's here to support the #RCB at Chinnaswamy,” was the caption of the video. Once Dravid appeared on the giant screen, apparently huge cheer followed.
This is not the first time Dravid showed his humble side. Earlier this year, when India U-19 won the World Cup under Dravid’s guidance. BCCI then announced the prize money for players and the staff. The U-19 coach however then requested the board to divide the prize money equally among the coaching staff. The board eventually agreed.
While Dravid was supporting RCB, the home team failed to register a win and lost the match by six wickets. This was RCB’s fifth defeat of the season. However, RCB skipper Virat Kohli showed his class once again as he scored unbeaten 68 off 44 balls. But that wasn’t enough to help his side win.
Meanwhile, RCB continues to be placed seventh the IPL 2018 points table and will need to win upcoming matches in order to stay in contention for the playoffs. RCB now take on Mumbai Indians at home on May 31.
