Jaydev Unadkat has been on the receiving end for a while now as he has not been able to deliver much for the Rajasthan Royals. In 4 matches, Jaydev picked 2 wickets giving away 121 runs which prove to be really expensive for any side. Yesterday, the pacer gave away 34 runs off 3 overs. This agitated the fans and the pacer was subjected to nasty comments on social media.

They took to social media reminded him of the fact that he was picked up for a whopping amount of Rs 11.5 crore. Many netizens posted nasty comments regarding the same.  “Guess RR invested too much on Unadkat... They could have easily had 3 other Indian players at that cost... #RRvKKR,” read a tweet.

“It's a shame that u get paid 12.5 crs and don't even bowl full quota of Ur overs. And if you go for over 10 runs over. 😑  #RRvKKR,” posted another user.

“Jaydev Unadkat, ladies and gentlemen. Costliest bowler. 11-0-121-2 so far in 4 matches. Utter useless. He has always been except when he gets lucky,” wrote another netizen.

“Paying 11.5cr to Unadkat is like making huge investment on loss making company #IPL2018  4 matches, one wicket, economy more than 9,” read a post.

This netizen asked him to quit cricket.

However, amidst all this, India’s renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle stood by the bowler. He took to Twitter and wrote, “I am going to stand up for Jaydev Unadkat here. He's copping a lot of criticism which is okay, part of being a top-level cricketer. But to link it to his price is unfair because he didn't ask for it. He got it in the auction. If he had asked for it, different story.”

Last year, Jaydev represented Rising Pune Supergiants and emerged as one of the most successful bowlers of the team. In 12 matches he claimed 24 wickets by giving away 322 runs. Unadkat bowled at an economy of 7.02. Let’s hope Jaydev regains his form soon.
