The Mumbai Indians yesterday registered their first victory of the IPL 2018 by crushing the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 46 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. MI posted a total of 213 on the board for the RCB which meant the latter needed the players to fire up. But alas! Virat Kohli kept fighting on one end and rest of the players made way to the pavilion quite early.

RCB needed a batsman who could handle the pressure and score runs as well. But looking at the scorecard, it was quite obvious for the fans to get upset and as almost half of the team departed even before putting up 100 runs to the total. Amidst all this, Sarfaraz Khan who failed to chip in with his bat got bowled by Mayank Markande on 5. His overall score in the IPL 2018 so far is just 11 runs off 3 matches.

This further agitated the Twitterati and they had some nasty comments up their sleeve for the youngster. They vented their anger on Twitter and said that RCB made a grave mistake by letting go off KL Rahul for Sarfaraz Khan. Twitterarti put out several tweets and lashed out at the team. Check out a few tweets here.

“The man who came up with the idea of retaining Sarfaraz Khan, must be knighted. What a master stroke @RCBTweets #IPL2018.”

“Take a moment out once again for #RCB who chose to retain Sarfaraz Khan,” read another post.

“Wth Sarfaraz Khan! Bloody shame.”

This Internet user wants Daniel Vettori to resign.

“It's big mistake by #RCB management by loosing #KLRahul  & Big Man . instead of sarfaraz khan  you may retained KLRahul. I'm sure dis team won't be eligible for play-off dis time ...in points table bottom 2nd or 1st place for #RCB,” read another tweet.

“#MIvRCB Very lazy boy this Sarfaraz Khan is.... Irony of life is that he was retained by #RCB #MIvRCB.”

“Very lazy boy this Sarfaraz Khan is.... Irony of life is that he was retained by #RCB #MIvRCB,” posted a user.

“Ill mannered as well,i remember as a teenager made derogatry comments about Uthappa’s wife,” wrote another user.

“Really agree with you.. He really didn't deserved to be retained. Only gets going when the top order provides a good start. Always fails under pressure. Should have retained KL Rahul instead,” wrote a Twitter user.

Yesterday, RCB captain Virat Kohli’s knock of 92 off 62 balls bagged him the  Orange Cap As of now, team RCB is on the seventh position as they only have a couple of points in their kitty. They will now face the Delhi Daredevils on April 21, 2018 at their home ground.
