Kolkata Knight Riders might have lost their qualifiers 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens by 15 runs. Dinesh Karthik and his men were obviously dejected with their loss. But, that didn’t stop them from celebrating the Sunil Narine’s birthday.

The team celebrated the birthday of the Trinidadian cricketer after they reached the hotel. As the ritual goes, KKR players sung happy birthday and Narine cut the cake. A few members of team KKR smashed the cake on his face. The official page of KKR shared the video of the same on their official handle with the caption, “Ending the season with another cake smash! On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad celebrated their victory against KKR. It was the Man of the Match Rashid Khan who got his face smacked with cake. One of the fan pages of the team shared the video.

After the match, Rashid Khan bagged praises from Sachin Tendulkar, Irfan Pathan, VVS Laxman and many more cricketers. In fact, the master blaster labelled Rashid Khan as the best spinner in the world on Twitter. Rashid delivered an all-round performance for the team. He scored 38 runs off 10 balls, scalped 3 wickets and took two important catches. After getting the Man of the Match Award, Rashid Khan dedicated the same to the people who lost their lives in the bomb blast in Jalalabad. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Chennai Super Kings on May 27 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
