With IPL 2018 about to begin in 6 days, most teams have started preparing for the T20 season ahead. However, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, just started their first official practice session yesterday, but that too was disrupted. Reason? Rains played the spoilsport for the team.

The official account of Sunrisers Hyderabad put out a post and shared the pictures of the players at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. They captioned the snap, “Rain plays spoilsport. Yesterday, our first practice session was an uneventful one.☔☔ #OrangeArmy #IPL2018

Talking about Sunrisers Hyderabad, the team has a new captain in form of Kane Williamson. He stepped into the shoes of David Warner who resigned from captaincy after the ball-tampering row. The official account of the team posted the news on Twitter and the team is yet to announce the new skipper for the side. “In light of recent events, David Warner has stepped down as captain of SunRisers Hyderabad. The new captain of the Team will be announced shortly.” – K.Shanmugam, CEO, SunRisers Hyderabad.”

The team will play their first game on April 9 against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium. Tickets for the same are available on their official site. The team will surely miss the services of David Warner as last year, he scored 126 runs against the Kolkata Knight Riders to break his previous career high of 109 not out. This also marked his third century in the IPL. He finished the season as the leading run scorer and was awarded the Orange Cap for the second time. He finished the season with 641 runs and at an average of 58.27.
