Shankar from Bengaluru is considered Shikhar Dhawan’s 'biggest fan'. At least, the cricketer terms him so. Shankar has an uncanny similarity with the Indian and Sunrisers Hyderabad opener. On Sunday, Dhawan’s lookalike fan came all the way from Bengaluru to meet his idol. Dhawan took to Twitter and shared a photo with Shankar and family. "It was wonderful meeting Shankar, "my biggest fan" and his family. They came all the way from Bangalore to meet me. I feel truly humbled when my fans go to such lengths. Thank you Shankar and all my fans for your love and support. Love you all #myfans #mybiggestsupport," read Dhawan's post.
This is not the first time Shankar had an opportunity to meet Dhawan, but the smile and excitement on his face was it was their first meeting. Shankar makes sure that he is present at the stadium when Dhawan is in action. And he doesn’t mind travelling all-around the country. Shankar also considers Dhawan as his “God” besides copying his style. Shikhar Dhawan’s son Zoravar & VVS Laxman Smash Cake on Manish Pandey’s Face

“I’ve always considered Shikhar my God and followed his footsteps. His Gabbar swag has always been inspired me. When he did #BreakTheBeard, I also got a similar style done. Shikhar knows me personally and has always obliged for pictures. When I showed him my new look he was more than happy to pose and click a picture. I wish him good luck for all the upcoming T20 matches. Hope his team wins,” Shankar was quoted as saying by Mid Day.
Meanwhile, Dhawan has so far scored 185 runs in the eight matches this season for SRH, which includes unbeaten 78 against Rajasthan Royals. Sunrisers currently occupy the top spot on the IPL 2018 points table and have almost qualified for the playoffs.
