Following the Cauvery Protests, team Chennai Super Kings changed their home ground to Pune for the IPL 2018. Obviously, the fans and players were upset about the decision, particularly because of the fact that the IPL came back to Chennai after 2-year-long suspension. Many players like Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh tweeted how disappointed they are about the matches being shifted to the new venue.

However, Chennai Super Kings left Chennai a few days ago and played a match against the Kings XI Punjab. Team CSK then headed to their base i.e. the city of Pune and they received a warm welcome by the fans by cheering for the team. The team made way to the hotel amidst the theme song of CSK, hoots and whistles from the fans. The official page of the team shared the video of the same with the caption, “A slight change of residence but what a reception! #WhistlePodu 🦁💛.”

Even Shane Watson shared a couple of videos where the fans were seen welcoming the team.

Many fans even followed the bus on the bike when the team was off to practice.

Team Chennai Super Kings will play their first match in Pune against the Rajasthan Royals. As of now, the team is on number 4 after winning a couple of matches out of 3. The team is marred with injuries as of now. In the last match, CSK missed the services of Suresh Raina due to a calf injury. MS Dhoni too suffered a back injury while playing the last match against the Kings XI Punjab. However, the management is tight-lipped about the two being featured in the playing XI in the next match.
