KKR boss Shah Rukh Khan was in the stands at the Eden Gardens last evening cheering for the team. Team KKR lost to Mumbai Indians by 102 runs and it was obvious for the fans to be dejected as the team now moved to spot number 5 on the IPL 2018 Points Table. Not just this, but even their net run rate has gone negative, which means KKR will have to win the next three games comprehensively for qualifying in the playoffs.

Post losing, Shah Rukh Khan apologized to KKR’s fans for the team’s lack of spirit. The megastar took to Twitter and wrote, "Sports is about the spirit and wins/losses don't reflect that. But tonight as the 'Boss' I need to apologize to the fans for the lack of spirit.” Check out the tweet.

After losing the match, Dinesh Karthik addressed the press and said that he is disappointed but qualifying for the playoffs is still possible. “We take one game at a time and we have a great chance to the playoffs. I believe in it and at this point in time that’s the most important thing I feel.”Karthik also admitted that the team was outplayed by the Mumbai Indians. “You got to give credit to Mumbai Indians, they played amazing cricket and batted really well in the middle and changed the course of the match. As a sportsman, these are the challenges you face. How quickly are you able to forget something like this and then move on to the next match.”

He also said, as a leader it is important to trust his playing XI and there might be a few changes but he hasn’t thought about it. According to him, run rate will be fine once the team plays three good games. Kolkata Knight Riders will face Kings XI Punjab on Saturday in Indore.
