In ICC T20I World Cup 2007, India defeated Australia in the semi-final by 15 runs to book a final berth against Pakistan, as the latter defeated New Zealand in the other semi-final. In India vs Pakistan ICC World T20I 2007 final, India batted first and smashed 157/5 with Gautam Gambhir hitting 75. Later, Indian team successfully defended the score in the final over of Joginder Sharma.
