A lot of celebrations are in store for the Indian cricket team after they arrive in the country following their success at T20 World Cup 2024. And why not? The Men in Blue, led by Rohit Sharma, ended an 11-year wait for an ICC trophy when they clinched the T20 World Cup 2024 title in Barbados with a victory over South Africa in a thrilling final. After landing in Delhi, the Indian cricket team will meet PM Narendra Modi in the capital. Modi had congratulated the Men in Blue on social media for their historic success in Barbados and will greet the players and support in person shortly after they arrive in the country. The Indian team will then fly off to Mumbai and celebrate the T20 World Cup 2024 success with the fans in a victory parade. Indian Cricket Team's Schedule After Arrival

  • Team India to land in Delhi on July 4 at approximately 6 AM IST (Indian Standard Time) on a special Air India flight from Barbados
  • Indian cricket team to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi after leaving for his house at around 9:30 am
  • Indian team to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 12 PM IST
  • Rohit Sharma and co to then fly to Mumbai for a victory parade
  • Team India to have a victory parade in Mumbai in a 1 km ride on an open-top bus at Marine Drive  and Wankhede Stadium at 5 PM
  • Men in Blue to attend special ceremony at Wankhede Stadium where BCCI secretary Jay Shah will present the Indian cricket team with Rs 125 crore award

Soon after, the Indian team players and support staff will leave for their respective homes. After the T20 World Cup 2024 title triumph, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirements from the shortest format of the game. With Rohit's retirement, the Indian national cricket team will have a new T20I captain, and fans will eagerly wait for the BCCI's decision to see who is named the 'Hitman's successor. Meanwhile, a new-look Indian team led by Shubman Gill has reached Harare for a T20I series against Zimbabwe, starting July 6.
