India's horrorshow with the bat continued in the ongoing IND vs NZ Test Series 2024, as the hosts lost half their side chasing 147 runs to win in the Mumbai Test, which is being played at Wankhede. Sarfaraz Khan, in particular, found criticism from fans, after yet another poor premeditated shot, which cost the batter his wicket, and put India in a ditch. Sanjay Manjrekar Slams Sarfaraz Khan’s Move to Number 8 Decision During IND vs NZ 3rd Test 2024, Says ‘Makes No Sense’ (See Post).

Sarfaraz trying to execute the sweep shot, managed to get a top edge off a full-toss delivery against Ajaz Patel, which invited fans to irk on social media. In the first innings, Sarfaraz went for a four-ball duck, where the ball found the batter's glove, which was pouched safely by the keeper off Patel's bowling.
