IND-W Win By Six Wickets | India Women vs New Zealand Women Highlights of 3rd ODI 2024: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana Help IND-W Clinch Three-ODI Series 2-1

India Women have won the match, and with this also the IND-W vs NZ-W ODI Series 2024 2-1. India's premier players Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana stood up for the side and ensured that fans celebrate the festival of Diwali in all its glory and magic. Kaur struck a 55 of 61, while Mandhana after a string of poor outings, came back into form and slammed her eighth ODI ton. With the ball, Deepti Sharma bamboozled the New Zealand Women batters, who failed to get the ball rolling despite getting starts. No one apart from Brooke Halliday managed to fit in, where the batter struck a gritty 86 off 96 balls, propelling the White Ferns to a respectable total.

OUT!! Smriti Mandhana after reaching her century, suffered a lapse of concentration, which witnessed that opener play across the line, and get her stumps rattled by Hannah Rowe. FIFTY! Harmanpreet Kaur has played a timely knock for her side. The India Women captain came and conquered the field like a true general, adding a 100-run stand with Smriti Mandhana in just 94 balls.  Harmanpreet completed her half-century in just 54 balls. 

India Women skipper Harmanpreery Kaur has taken control of the chase and ensured her side are within touching distance of the trophy. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana is nearing her eighth ODI ton, with her last coming in June against South Africa earlier this year. 

It has all been one-way traffic, since the fall of Yastika Bhatia. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur have played chanceless cricket, and added 50 runs in merely 56 balls, displaying their command over the match, and conditions. Harmanpreet  Kaur did take a medical break, where she could be seen suffering from cramps.

FIFTY! After a string of flops, Smriti Mandhana has finally managed to come into her own in the series decider. Mandhana after playing out a disciplined bowling spell early on, has managed to open her arms and bring the attack to New Zealand Women. 

OUT! Sophie Devine provides her side with an instant breakthrough. Yastika Bhatia, who looked good during her stay, managed to find Devine's outreached hands in her follow-through. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana is joined by her captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Yastika Bhatia c and b Sophie Devine 35(49)

Smriti Mandhana and Yastika Bhatia have taken the attack on New Zealand Women bowlers and denied them any chance of tasting blood. The duo has already added 59 runs, with both batters showing a mix of aggression and defense in the middle. 

After the wicket of Shafali Verma, India Women have played steady cricket, and have not provided any further inroads. Smriti Mandhana, in particular, has looked in fine touch and added 24 runs in swift time with wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia.
