A lot of eyes were raised on the selectors following India’s semi-final exit from ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 after an 18-run defeat to New Zealand in which the most of the batting order disappointed with cheap dismissals. Many fans and critics alike blamed the team selectors for picking wrong players for the contentious middle-order leading to heavy changes in India’s limited-overs squad for the West Indies tour. Many new and young faces have been given opportunity to put up a performance and seal their place in the team as India rebuilds and strengthens their middle-order for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2020 and eventually the 2023 World Cup. India vs West Indies Series 2019 Schedule in IST, Free PDF Download: Get Fixtures, Time Table With Match Timings and Venue Details.

India’s World Cup disappointment also gave away to rumoured rifts between skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma and also the existence of two different fans in the Indian team dressing room. Kohli later quashed all reports of any rifts.   India vs West Indies T20 2019 Series: Shreyas Iyer to Rishabh Pant, These Indian Batsmen Are to Watch Out for on Windies Tour.

The tour to West Indies will be India’s first cricking assignment post-CWC 2019 and the selectors have picked many new faces for the tour. Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar are two of the bowlers, who could be making their debut for India, while Rahul’s cousin Deepak Chahar is another player, who could get more opportunities to showcase his cricketing skills in the Caribbean. Take a look at three young Indian bowlers to watch out for in the Windies tour. India vs West Indies 2019: Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Khaleel Ahmed Among Young Faces to Watch Out For.

Rahul Chahar

He was phenomenal for Mumbai Indians guiding the franchise to their fourth Indian Premier League (IPL) title last season. Rahul Chahar as also produced some terrific performances for his state team Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy and the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he took 20 wickets in nine matches. For Mumbai in PIL 2018, Chahar picked up 13 wickets and had an excellent economy rate of 6.55.

Chahar was picked for the India A vs West A series and he repaid the faith by picking up 14 wickets in two Test matches before scalping another six in the three-game ODI series. He is bound to get his chances in the Caribbean and especially with the Kuldeep Yadav – Yuzvendra Chahal duo coming under the pump for their poor form during CWC 2019, the 19-year-old has an excellent opportunity to break in the Indian team.

Navdeep Saini

Originally from Karnal village in Haryana, Saini played for Delhi in the Indian domestic season last year. But it during the IPL, where he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, that Saini truly came into his own. His raw pace and ability to extract extra bounce off the pitch, made cricket experts and Indian skipper talk about him. Kohli called him a special player, while former international cricketer Gautam Gambhir reserved special praise for the young bowler.

Saini soon received a call-up for the West Indies A tour and he picked a fifer for India A in the very first game he played. The 26-year-old hasn’t had to look back ever since. He was also part of India reserve list for CWC 2019 and justifiably had his name in the squad for the Windies tour. Whether India can unearth another quick pacer only time will tell.

Deepak Chahar

Elder cousin of Rahul Chahar, Deepak made his India debut in 2018 and played one game each in both ODIs and T20s. But is yet to kick-start his international career. The 26-year-old fast bowler can swing the ball both ways and bowls exactly to the field. That has served him well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he represents the Chennai Super Kings and has been MS Dhoni most lethal weapon upfront.

Like Saini, he was also part of India's reserve fast-bowlers list for CWC 2019 and travelled to England as a reserve pacer to assist in the training. If Deepak can perform to his potential against the Wast Indies, India will have another pacer who provides a different dimension and an able replacement for Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the near future.
