Ahead of the match, MPCA secretary Milind Kanmadika said it was impossible to host the match in such a limited time. He also went on to say that the board has not got any clear instructions for the BCCI for hosting the match.
While speaking about the issue of complimentary tickets Kanmadika said that the BCCI needs to clarify about the “10 per cent complimentary seats are kept only for BCCI or there is the provision of 10-10 per cent each for BCCI and state associations,” on the basis of the new constitution. Kanmadika said that the BCCI demanded 1,300 complimentary tickets for the sponsors but owing to the limited capacity of the stadium, they would not be able to do so.
