India dished out an impressive performance to beat West Indies by 125 runs to stay unbeaten in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 (CWC 2019). Chasing a target of 269, West Indies were bowled out for just 143 runs. The defeat means West Indies are out of semi-finals contention now. Mohammed Shami was once again star performer with the ball as he scalped 4/16 in just 6.2 overs. West Indies lost two early wickets inside seven overs. Chris Gayle was the first to go and then Shai Hope followed the suit. It was Shami who provided his side with these two initial breakthroughs. Sunil Ambris, playing in his first World Cup match, and Nicholas Pooran tried to bring stability to Windies innings but Hardik Pandya broke the stand by removing the former.

West Indies then kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never recovered from the jolts.
