India should have little trouble wrapping up the test series after triumphs in ODI and T20 competitions. This will go a long way in helping the fans overcome the heartbreak suffered at the 2019 ICC World Cup. Let's have a look at the player to watch out for in the game.
India vs West Indies, 2nd Test 2019: After demolishing hosts West Indies in the first test, India will keen to clinch the series when the two sides meet in Sabina Park, Kingston. The home side started well against their more fancied opposition on the opening day of Antigua test. But that was the only time throughout the contest they enjoyed the ascendency. It will be fair to say they were outplayed in all departments by a ruthless Indian side that is playing some excellent cricket at the moment. West Indies though have a good record at this venue against India winning 6 out of the 12 games played. They will need to play out of their skins to draw the series. A look at the player to watch out for in the game. West Indies Vs India Cricket Score 2nd Test Match - India in West Indies, 2 Test Series, 2019.
Ajinkya Rahane (India)
A timely century by Indian vice-captain again showed why he is considered one of the best in the format. His ability to battle out of tough situation makes him an ideal candidate to bat in the lower middle order. It was due to his heroics with the bat that the visitors had West Indies chasing a huge score.
Jasprit Bumrah (India)
His five-wicket haul in the second innings meant West Indies could not even try and save the contest. The right-handed pacer has been doing well for quite some time now in all formats of the game. It is due to his impressive form that the Indian team has had some successful stints in overseas conditions.
Virat Kohli (India)
We have not seen the best of Virat Kohli on this tour but as well know a big score is never away from the Indian skipper. The second test just might be the ideal time for Virat to step up and score a ton. His captaincy has been spot on with almost all his bowling changes working well for India. His decision to drop Rohit Sharma in favour of Hanuma Vihari may have been harsh but worked well for India.
Kemar Roach (West Indies)
After battling years of serious injuries, Kemar Roache looks like a completely different player with visible changes in his rhythm and bowling action. He picked up four wickets in the first innings of the Antigua test and was a menace for the famed Indian batting line-up throughout the game. West Indies will be keen to have their premium bowler continue his good form.
Roston Chase (West Indies)
His dismissal on 48 in the first innings was a turning point in the game as he is known to score big once he is settled. With the bowl in his hand, he chipped in with a few wickets, but fans would have wanted more from this talented all-rounder. In the second test, he has an all-important job of holding the middle order together for the West Indies.
