West Indies have announced a strong squad for three T20 Internationals against India and by no means, the series looks like a one-sided affair. The Men in Maroon have recalled some veterans like Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard who are stalwarts in the shortest format of the game. Along with that, The Calypso Kings have also produced some young guns in recent times who have proved their mettle in the international arena. The Carlos Brathwaite-led side consists of some T20 juggernauts who are the mainstays of many franchises across the globe which means that Virat Kohli and men can't be complacent at all and will have to give their best in order to defeat the reigning World T20 champions. As the much-awaited series takes a countdown, here are three west Indies players who can be a threat to the Men in Blue. Evin Lewis
The southpaw is one batsman the Indian bowlers don't like to face in the shortest format of the game. The 27-year-old has already notched up two tons against team India in T20Is and will want to continue his stellar run in the upcoming series as well. With Chris Gayle not in the squad, Lewis will have the responsibility of giving his side a good start and restricting him will certainly not be an easy job for the Indian bowlers.
Andre Russell
The Jamaican all-rounder is arguably the most fierce all-rounder in world cricket at the moment. Russell has played some blistering knocks for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League which the Indian bowlers will be wary of. Along with being an explosive batsman, the 31-year-old is also a handy fast bowler who can trouble the Indian batting line-up as well.
Sheldon Cottrell
The left-arm-pacer grabbed a lot of limelight for his 'salute celebration' in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 but the 29-year-old is a skilled fast bowler as well. Cottrell can exploit the new ball very well and his variations in the death can deceive any batsman. The Jamaican bowler was the leading wicket-taker for West Indies in the world cup and will like to extend his purple patch against the Indians as well.
So, these were some players who upset the Virat Kohli lead side in the upcoming T20I series. West Indies have also won the ICC World T20 in 2016 and the next edition of the mega-tournament is only one year ahead. So, the Men in Maroon will look at this series as a preparation to defend their title
