India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant turned 21 today and it was quite obvious for the team to celebrate his birthday. After calling it a day on the field against West Indies with the score of 362 for the loss of four wickets in the first test match, the team headed to the hotel and special preparations were made to celebrate the youngster’s birthday. Rishabh Pant scored a maiden century at the Oval!
As the ritual goes the team sung happy birthday for Rishabh and then went on to smash the cake on his face and Cheteshwar Pujara and Kuldeep Yadav poured cold drinks on the youngster. The video of the celebration was shared by the Rishabh on social media. Talking about Rishabh Pant, the youngster had been in the news for hitting a six on the first ball of his debut Test match against England at Trent Bridge. Pant also scored his maiden century at the Oval and became the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a Test hundred in England. At, 20 years and 342 days, Pant became the youngest wicket-keeper to score a Test hundred in England. He also surpassed the record of MS Dhoni who scored 92 in England. As of now, Pant is batting for India on the score of 17 and it would be interesting to see if he gets another century in Rajkot.
