The tweet was shared with the caption, “Announcement: #TeamIndia announce the 12 for the 1st ODI in Guwahati against West Indies #INDvWI.” Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Rishabh Pant, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Khaleed Ahmed were the members who had been named in the 12- member squad. Even Rishabh Pant earlier dropped hints about making a debut in ODIs. The wicket-keeper batsman took to Twitter and posted a picture of himself in the Test jersey. The snap was captioned,” Always ready to give my 100 per cent on a cricket field.Cannot wait to take on the West Indies in the first ODI on Sunday!#IndiaVsWestIndies#comingup🤙🏻.”
Pant even underwent a photo session in the blue jersey.
Talking about team India, Virat Kohli and men have already gotten over their defeat in England and whitewashed the two-match Test series by 2-0. India won the first Test by innings and 272 runs in Rajkot and the second match was won by 10 wickets.
