West Indies have won the toss and have opted to bowl first in the first One-Day International (ODI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Meanwhile, Kieron Pollard has won the toss and has opted to bowl first. India ahead of the ODI series suffered a blow as fast-bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out of the series. He was later replaced by another pacer Shardul Thakur.
