IND-W Win By 78 Runs | India vs UAE Highlights of Women's Asia Cup T20 2024: Richa Ghosh, Harmanpreet Kaur Shine in Dominant Victory for Women in Blue

Another match and another victory for India, this time by 78 runs. It has been a comprehensive performance from the Women in Blue! Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh struck half-centuries, helping India post 201/5, the first time they crossed the 200-run mark in women's T20Is. With the ball in hand, India applied pressure right from the start and picked up wickets at regular intervals. With this win, India have edged closer to a spot in the Women's Asia Cup T20 2024 semifinals with two wins from as many matches. UAE now have lost both their matches after losing their opening clash to Nepal.

OUT! Tanuja Kanwer has picked up the big wicket of Esha Rohit Oza and it is a massive moment in the match as she was batting well! Oza came down the track but missed the ball and Richa Ghosh, who has been exceptional today, has pulled off a stumping. UAE captain Esha Rohit Oza has kept her side in the hunt in this run chase by playing some fine shots. UAE lost wickets early but Oza has looked good and holds the key for her side in this run chase. An exciting 10 overs await!

OUT! India have found their first wicket and it is Theertha Satish, who perishes in an attempt to clear the in-field. The left-hander showed intent after a slow start but could not get past Harmanpreet Kaur who takes a simple catch. UAE have scored just 11 runs in four overs with the Indian bowlers keeping things tight in the first four. Pooja Vastrakar, who has been in good form, has bowled a maiden. UAE need to maximise the powerplay, which would boost their chances of chasing this big total down. 

UAE have started this run chase on a sedate note, scoring just one run off the first over bowled by Renuka Singh Thakur. It is a good start for India though and they will look to put more pressure on the batters and take some early wickets. 

What a finish it has been for India! Richa Ghosh has slammed her way to a 64-run knock off just 29 balls, hitting 12 fours and one six! She and Harmanpreet Kaur (66) have ensured India post a massive score on the board. This is also the first time that the Indian women's cricket team have posted a 200+ total in T20Is. It will take some effort from UAE if they are to chase this down! All eyes on the second innings now! 

FIFTY for Richa Ghosh! This is her maiden fifty in T20Is and what an impactful knock it has been!

FIFTY for Harmanpreet Kaur! A good knock here from the Indian captain as she gets to the mark off 41  balls. She has been superb so far in this innings and would want to finish on a high with not many overs left. 

Richa Ghosh and Harmanpreet Kaur are eyeing a big finish here for India with the Women in Blue 149/4 at the end of 16 overs. UAE on the other hand, would attempt to take a few wickets to restrict India to a score around 170 from this point. 

OUT! Jemimah Rodrigues will have to get out as she has been dismissed by Kavisha Egodage as she hands over an easy catch to Rithika Rajith. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues will look forward to rebuild the Indian innings as they have scored 87 runs in the first 10 overs. 

After a quick fall of wickets, Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur will look to stitch a partnership to put a decent score on the board. India scores 56 runs at the end of the powerplay.
