That's It! India win by 41 runs and make their way into the final of the Asia Cup 2023. They missed out last time but this time they have been clinical and secure a win despite not a great performance with the bat. Kuldeep Yadav has been phenomenal in back-to-back games taking four-wicket haul this time and he was supported well by Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. The Dhananjaya de Silva and Dunith Wellalage partnership was the only time they looked under pressure. Wellalage will be dissappointed as he stays not out on one end. Remarkable all-round show from the Sri Lankan youngster.

12 Sep, 22:51 (IST)

Out! Dunith Welllage is running out of partners now. Maheesh Theekshana looked solid in defence but as the runs required started to get close to balls left, he tried an attacking stroke and Suryakumar Yadav dived in front to take a brilliant match.

12 Sep, 22:32 (IST)

Out! Finally Ravindra Jadeja is able to break the partnership that almost took the match away from India. Dhananjaya de Silva loses patience and tries to go over mid on but fails to get the required elevation. Shubman Gill makes no msitake. Massive wicket for India.

12 Sep, 21:37 (IST)

Out! A poor outing in the Asia Cup 2023 continues for Dasun Shanaka as he is the next to fall getting an outside edge to an away going delivery from Ravindra Jadeja. Rohit Sharma takes a brilliant catch in the slips to ensure the dismissal.

12 Sep, 21:15 (IST)

Out! Charith Asalanka also departs following Sadeera Samarawickrama. Tries to sweep a delivery from Kuldeep Yadav and gets an underedge. KL Rahul shows quick presence of mind and grabs the catch diving in front. India way ahead in the game now,

12 Sep, 21:10 (IST)

Out! Big wicket and the partnership gets broken. The Sri Lankan batters were getting a touch annoyed and Sadeera Samarawickrama jumps out against Kuldeep Yadav, only for the ball to turn and going through him. KL Rahul does no mistake in the stumping. Sadeera Samarawickrama and Charith Asalanka were looking dangerous and India will be relieved.

12 Sep, 20:17 (IST)

Out! Mohammed Siraj joins the party and both openers are now inside the hut. Dimuth Karunaratne tries to ease the pressure build by Jasprit Bumrah and edges one to the cordon taken easily by Shubman Gill. Sri Lanka under some real pressure now.

12 Sep, 20:11 (IST)

Out! Jasprit Bumrah strikes against. Big blow for Sri Lanka as Kushal Mendis departs.  Bumrah sets him and then uses the slower delivery which dips and Mendis lobs it straight to the hands of extra cover. Sri Lanka in trouble now.

12 Sep, 19:50 (IST)

Out! Jasprit Bumrah shows that the chase will not be easy for the hosts as he strikes early removing opener Pathum Nissanka. The ball lands and seams with Nissanka prodding and edging one behind to the hands of KL Rahul. India draw early blood.

12 Sep, 19:28 (IST)

That's It! Axar Patel's bravery took India so far as he holes out in the deep trying to take on Maheesh Theekshana. Axar and Mohammed Siraj have India over the 200 mark and will hope their spinners come into play as well. All ten wickets were scalped by the spinners with Dunith Wellalage taking five and Charith Asalanka taking four. A ten minutes break between the innings and the Indian players will be out on the field soon.

12 Sep, 19:20 (IST)

Axar Patel hits a huge six to Maheesh Theekshana taking the over for 11 runs in total. They have now crossed 2000 mark and looking for a strong finish to accumulate as much as possible.

12 Sep, 18:51 (IST)

The rain has stopped in Colombo as it seemed to be like a passing shower and luckily for the fans at the stadium and the watchers, the covers are coming off.  The umpires will inspect and give a restart time soon.

12 Sep, 18:26 (IST)

Charith Asalanka removed Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav in consecutive deliveries and as he was looking to wrap up the Indian innings, the rain intervenes once again and stops play. The covers are in place and the wait begins once again. Sri Lanka will be the happeir side going into the rain break.

12 Sep, 18:02 (IST)

Out! Another one bites the dust and this time it is Jasprit Bumrah. Charith Asalanka has his consecutive second wicket after Ravindra Jadeja. He gets the ball to turn big and goes through Bumrah's bat and crashes into the stumps. Sri Lanka will want to wrap up India's innings early.

12 Sep, 17:42 (IST)

Out! The next to fall to Dunith Wellalage is Hardik Pandya. Charith Asalanka dismissed Ishan Kishan in the previous over and now Dunith Wellalage finishes his spell by removing Hardik Pandya. India are down to their last of batting reserves and it has come down to this points for the five-wicket haul of Dunith Wellalage.

12 Sep, 17:13 (IST)

Out! It is Dunith Wellalage yet again. The ball holds and turns again and KL on the backfoot goes through the shot early lobbing the ball staright back to the bowler. Fourth wicket for Wellalage and he is on a roll now.

12 Sep, 16:53 (IST)

Since Dunith Wellalage has joined the Sri Lankan attack, the ball has started to turn viciously and after losing three back-to-back wickets, the scoring rate has also slowed down. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan are looking for a phase of consolidation now, knowing it will be difficult for Sri Lanka if they can take India to a par or just above par total.

12 Sep, 16:15 (IST)

Out! Dunith Wellalage strikes and India are back under the pump. Huge wickets for Sri Lanka as Dunith Wellalage now removes both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Kohli pushes one straight into the hands of the mid-wicket and Rohit tries to go to the backfoot and gets cleaned up. Wellalage has changed the game straightaway since he came to the spell and scalped three wickets in three overs.

12 Sep, 16:01 (IST)

Rohit Sharma has looked in sublime touch and now eases into a pull against Matheesha Pathirana and scores a boundary to race to his half-century. Consecutive half-centuries for the Indian captain and he completes it in just 45 deliveries.

12 Sep, 15:58 (IST)

Out! Dunith Wellalage strikes in his first over. Draws Shubman Gill in front and gets it to turn enough to beat his outside edge and crash into the stumps. The ball had nice drift and held up a touch to make Gill play the shot earlier. Sri Lanka get their much awaited breakthrough.
