India beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets and bag the series 2-0! What a performance this has been from Team India, especially with the bat in hand as they chased down 78 runs in just 6.3 overs. The win was set up by the bowlers, who restricted Sri Lanka to just 161/9 despite the hosts looking good to get a score at around 180 at one point in time. But India's bowlers bounced back terrifically well in the match and later, the batters made light work of the run chase in this rain-shortened match. The Gautam Gambhir-Suryakumar Yadav era has begun with a bang and India, with a 2-0 series lead, will eye a whitewash.

Suryakumar Yadav is showing why he is one of the the best T20I batters in the world. India have scored 45 runs in four overs and with SKY out there. this seems to be an easy run chase.

So we have a positive update from Sri Lanka! The rain has stopped and we will have a shortened match with India's target revised to 78 runs from eight overs. So India now need 72 off 45 deliveries to win. 

The rain has stopped play in Pallekele with just three balls being bowled into the second innings. India got off to a decent start with Sri Lanka dropping Yashasvi Jaiswal on the second ball. The covers are brought on and we are in for a delay. 

Sri Lanka have managed 161/9 in 20 overs after being put to bat first. The hosts got off to a good start but the Indian bowlers made a comeback, restricting the Sri Lankans to a score which seems very gettable on this track. Ravi Bishnoi was India's best bowler as he took three wickets.

The right-hander was struck on his pad first before the ball hit the bat and once again, it is an excellent decision from the umpire Ruchira Palliyaguruge. Sri Lanka have scored 54 runs in the first six overs with Pathum Nissanka once again leading the charge. Kusal Mendis was dismissed earlier and his namesake, Kusal Perera has walked out and had a positive start to this innings. India need few wickets to stamp their authority on this match.

Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis, just like they did yesterday, have provided Sri Lanka with a positive start. They scored 10 runs off the first over bowled by Mohammed Siraj.
