The day two of the match between India and South Africa has been about Virat Kohli who not only completed a double century and finished 7,000 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. The Indian cricket captain led the team past 600 runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli broke an umpteenth number of records during the match which is mentioned below but for now, let’s have a look at how the day two panned out for the sides. So the day began with Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli batting overnight.  India Vs South Africa, Live Cricket Score 2nd Test Match. 

After bringing up a half-century the Mumbai batsman made way to the pavilion on the score of 58 runs. But Kohli continued batting and brought up his century and then a double hundred. Twice today did the Indian captain go past Australian great Don Bradman. Once for scoring 150 plus runs on nine occasions as a captain and second for scoring 7,000 Test runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Indian cricket captain contributed with 225 runs with the Saurashtra all-rounder getting out on 91 runs.

Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 254 runs and registered his personal best score. Now, it was South Africa who walked into bat and the Indian bowlers struck thrice as Umesh Yadav got the wicket of the openers Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram. Mohammed Shami got rid of Temba Bavuma. The South African openers haven’t contributed much as since November 2015. 9, 8, 15, 4, 17, 36, 5, 1, 12, 4, 23, 14, 4, 2 is how the openers have fared since November 2015.  As of now, the visitors stand on the total of 36 runs losing three wickets. #This is the tenth time India have scored 600+ under Kohli's captaincy.

# Virat Kohli has equalled Ricky Pointing of scoring 19 centuries as a captain.

# The Indian captain scored 150 plus runs on nine occasions as a captain.

# Kohli has also completed 7,000 runs in Test and surpassed Don Bradman who had scored 6,996 runs.

# The right-hander also surpassed Sunil Gavaskar for taking fewer innings than the former Indian cricket great to get his 26th Test century. Gavaskar took 144 innings whereas, Kohli took 138 innings.

# Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane went past Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly who had scored 145 runs for the fourth wicket. Whereas, Kohli and Rahane took scored 178 runs.

As of now, South Africa trail by 565 runs. Theunis de Bruyn and Anrich Nortje are currently batting for the side as they have made 20 and two runs respectively.
