The Ranchi wicket is expected to be a spin-friendly track. So, spinners of both sides will have the responsibility to go through the opposition batting line-up. India’s spin twin Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are enjoying a phenomenal run in the series and will aim to extend their purple patch. In the batting department, Virat Kohli and Mayank Agarwal are topping the charts. Meanwhile, let’s look at five players who can steal the show in Ranchi. India vs South Africa Dream11 Team Prediction: Tips to Pick Best Playing XI With All-Rounders, Batsmen, Bowlers & Wicket-Keepers for IND vs SA 3rd Test Match 2019.
Mayank Agarwal
The Karnataka opener has piled up runs throughout the series and will aim to finish off the series in style too. The batsman tackled the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj brilliantly and is one of the main reasons behind India’s dominance. With the help of a ton and double-ton, Mayank has already registered 330 runs in the series and is the highest run-scorer in the series.
Dean Elgar
After a poor outing in the 2015 Tour of India, the southpaw did his home-work and has proved his mettle. In the first Test at Visakhapatnam, the batsman displayed great resilience and registered a brilliant ton. With his regular opening partner Aiden Markram being ruled out of the series, responsibility on Elgar’s shoulders will be increased and the visitors will expect the left-handed batsman to do well.
Virat Kohli
The Indian skipper was at his premium best in the second Test and crashed many records. In Pune, the batting stalwart registered his highest Test score and played a match-defining knock. Kohli will be the biggest threat for the Proteas in the third Test too and the opposition will aim to dismiss the batsman as soon as possible. On the other side, Kohli will try to play a substantial knock again and complete the 3-0 whitewash.
Kagiso Rabada
The only bowler who seemed troubling the Indian batsman was Kagiso Rabada. On the unfavourable Indian pitches, the speedster bowled with aggression and used the new ball perfectly. However, the lack of support from other bowlers costed the team. In the third Test, the pacer will be expected to bowl with hostility and guide the Proteas to a victory.
Ravichandran Ashwin
After warming the benches in the series against West Indies, the off-spinner made an impeccable comeback and troubled the South Africans throughout the series. On the pitches where Indian batsman scored runs for fun, Ashwin spun his web around the opposition and took 14 wickets in the series which is highest for any bowler.
In the World Test Championships standings, India are placed at the pinnacle with 200 points while the Faf du Plessis led side are yet to open their account. So, the Proteas will want to end their dismal run and register a victory. While, India will not be complacent and clinch a 3-0 whitewash.
