# He also went on to surpass, Rohit Sharma for scoring the most number of runs of T20Is. Kohli made 2440 runs whereas, Sharma so far has 2434 runs in his kitty.
# The Indian captain also surpassed Rohit Sharma for scoring the most number of fifties in T20Is. Kohli has 22 fifties whereas, Sharma has 21.
Virat Kohli was made the Man of the Match for his performance. While speaking about the pitch he said, “The pitch was very good and an outstanding effort from the bowlers to pull things back. As long as they (youngsters) show character in difficult situations, they are going to present a strong case for themselves in the future.” With this, India now has 1-0 lead in the series and the next match will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on September 22, 2019, on Sunday.
