Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad called for a complete ban on cricketing ties with Pakistan. According to him, things are not healthy, BCCI and ICC have to decide after considering the country's security establishment.
ICC CEO Dave Richardson hinted that there wouldn't be any changes between India Pakistan ties at ICC World Cup 2019 scheduled on 16th June at Manchester. He said that the game of cricket could bring nation and communities closer, they will work on it and sort it out. If sources are to believed, then the decision related to match cancellation of India vs Pakistan will be discussed in the ICC meeting scheduled to be held from 27th Feb, 2019 at Dubai.
Former BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel told that we lost our brothers by the cowardly act of terrorism, he was firm on the point to boycott match against Pakistan in the coming World Cup.
Former Indian All Rounder and UP Minister Chetan Chauhan said that cancelling match with Pakistan in ICC World Cup 2019 is not easy as there are many cricketing rules and Indian team might have to face the consequences like heavy fine or ban if they disagree to play Pakistan at World Cup.
Even IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla reiterated the chances of India vs Pakistan match to be nil unless the government give its nod.
The Turbanator Harbhajan expressed his feelings by saying that the country comes first before cricket and India should not play Pakistan at the World Cup even if the men in blue have to lose two points for that.
