Both the sides collected two points from their opening match. However, India had to toil hard to register the win. Hong Kong’s opening pair of Anshuman Rath and Nizakat Khan shared record 174-run stand for the first wicket in chase of 286 and gave their side a hope of pulling off an upset win. But that wasn’t the case, Indian bowlers kept their nerves and bounced back to restrict Hong Kong 26 runs short of the target.

While India had to work hard for their win, Pakistan, on the other hand, clinched an easy win over Hong Kong.
