India will face New Zealand in the first semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC), 2019 at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester on July 9. India finished on top of the group stage with 15 points, while Kiwis ended with 11 points on the fourth position. New Zealand qualified for semis due to better Net Run Rate (NRR) as Pakistan too ended with 11 points, however, they had a weaker NRR than Kiwis. New Zealand posted a total of 205/8 in 50 overs, however, due to rain the target was reduced to 191 runs in 43 overs. Kane Williamson scored 37 runs from 80 balls in that game. Interestingly Virat Kohli dismissed Williamson by getting him stumped. New Zealand will have a tough task on their head against India on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. If India wins this game, they will face either Australia or England on July 14 at Lord's Cricket Ground. The other semi-final match will take on July 11 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground between Australia and England. Good thing is that there is a reserve day for semi-final and final match.
