What a win this is for India! New Zealand have always been a stumbling block for the Indian team in ICC events and now, it seems to have been a thing of the past. Virat Kohli justified once again why he was known as the 'Chase Master' with a calm knock but he would be gutted to have missed out on a century. But the whole of India would be happy with the performances of this side. Ravindra Jadeja (39*) also batted very well.  Mohammed Shami earlier set the tone with a five-wicket haul on his return to the team.

India have won the match by four wickets! What a win this and the Men in Blue now remain the only unbeaten side in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

22 Oct, 22:10 (IST)

OUT! Matt Henry has struck and he has dismissed Virat Kohli, who was looking to go for the big shot and complete his century as well as take the side home! A bit of an anti-climax here. Virat Kohli c Glenn Phillips b Matt Henry 95(104)

22 Oct, 22:06 (IST)

India are close to a win now with Virat Kohli nearing yet another hundred. India need seven more runs to win with Kohli on 93.

22 Oct, 21:46 (IST)

Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja are ticking along the scoreboard pretty easily now. India will look to continue the same way but there has been some nervous energy in the middle with the New Zealand players really good on the field. This match has entered a very crucial phase.

22 Oct, 21:10 (IST)

OUT! Oh no! What a terrible mix-up this! Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli were stranded at one end and the former has to depart. Suryakumar played a drive and ran straight away without looking if the ball went past the fielder. New Zealand eventually had a lucky break with Suryakumar far away from the crease. A terrific fielding effort from Mitchell Santner. Suryakumar Yadav run out (Mitchell Santner/Trent Boult) 2(4)

22 Oct, 21:04 (IST)

FIFTY for Virat Kohli! The right-hander has got to the 50-run mark yet again in the tournament and it has been a knock where he has had full control. He has hit the big shots and also rotated the strike regularly. Kohli would now look to continue and score big here.

22 Oct, 21:01 (IST)

OUT! New Zealand have a breakthrough here with Mitchell Santner having trapped KL Rahul! Rahul came down the track and defended the ball and Santner went up immediately. He opted for the DRS and replays showed the ball hit him on his pad first. And later, it would have gone on to hit the stumps. KL Rahul lbw b Mitchell Santner 27(35)

22 Oct, 20:46 (IST)

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have brought stability to this Indian run chase and the two veterans would look to take the side through. At the moment. India are in complete control and New Zealand are on the lookout for a breakthrough.

22 Oct, 20:12 (IST)

OUT! New Zealand have a breakthrough and this time it has come from Trent Boult! He dug in a short ball and Shreyas Iyer miscued it with Devon Conway taking a good catch in the deep.  Shreyas Iyer c Devon Conway b Trent Boult 33(29)

22 Oct, 19:54 (IST)

The match has resumed after a temporary stoppage due to the fog. The fog has cleared for the time being and action has begun with India going well. New Zealand meanwhile, would need to see the back of one of these two batters, preferably Virat Kohli.

22 Oct, 19:33 (IST)

Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer have joined forces in a bid to rebuild this innings for India. Meanwhile the match was stopped for a while due to haze at the stadium.

22 Oct, 19:28 (IST)

OUT! Lockie Ferguson has another wicket and this time, he has got Shubman Gill! The right-arm fast bowler dug one short outside the off-stump and Gill attempted an upper cut, only to guide the ball safely to Daryl Mitchell near the boundary.  Shubman Gill c Daryl Mitchell b Lockie Ferguson 26(31)

22 Oct, 19:20 (IST)

OUT! New Zealand have broken this opening partnership with Lockie Ferguson dismissing the dangerous Rohit Sharma! The ball was outside off-stump and Rohit directed it back to his stumps in an attempt to guide it. He is unlucky to have missed out on a fifty and New Zealand have a lucky break.  Rohit Sharma b Lockie Ferguson 46(40)

22 Oct, 19:14 (IST)

India on a roll here with Rohit Sharma clearly not being bothered by the threat that the New Zealand fast bowlers bring to the table. He has been beaten a number of times but that has not stopped him from playing freely and sending the ball to the fence. India are well and clearly on top at this moment with New Zealand desperate to have a breakthrough.

22 Oct, 19:08 (IST)

What a start this has been for India! Both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have scored freely and dominated proceedings so far. Gill also became the fastest to score 2000 runs in men's ODIs. India off to a flier here! New Zealand on the other hand, would aim for a breakthrough.

22 Oct, 18:55 (IST)

Rohit Sharma, much like he did so far, has given India a good start with some fine shots in the opening five overs. Shubman Gill survived a run out chance as he had his bat deep inside the crease when the ball flicked Trent Boult's fingers onto the stumps at the non-striker's end. The game has been quite eventful so far!

22 Oct, 18:36 (IST)

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have started proceedings for India in this run chase and they manage four runs off the first over bowled by Trent Boult.

22 Oct, 18:05 (IST)

OUT! Run out of the last ball with KL Rahul's direct hit catching Lockie Ferguson short of his crease! Mohammed Shami has made a remarkable comeback into the Indian team with a sensational five-wicket haul, conceding 54 runs off his 10 overs. New Zealand have managed a competitive total but would feel they are 10-15 runs short here. Still, it is going to be a competitive game with the likes of Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson in form. An interesting chase coming up here.

22 Oct, 18:01 (IST)

OUT! Mohammed Shami has a five-wicket haul on his return to the team! Daryl Mitchell tried to play a big shot but only found Virat Kohli in the deep! Daryl Mitchell c Virat Kohli b Mohammed Shami 130(127)
