Stumps on Day 2! What a day it has been with New Zealand finishing proceedings with a 143-run lead. India bounced back after a late collapse on the opening day with Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant ensuring that the hosts had a slender 28-run lead as they overhauled New Zealand's 235. The Indians then came back strong with ball in hand with the spin duo of Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja showing their magic once again. While Ravi Ashwin scalped three wickets, Ravindra Jadeja took four while Akash Deep and Washington Sundar had one apiece. India not only bowled well but also were exceptional on the field, the highlight of it being Ravi Ashwin taking a splendid catch to dismiss Daryl Mitchell. India have the edge in this contest and will hope to end the New Zealand innings as early as possible on Day 3 to win the Test.
