What a day of cricket it has been! New Zealand piled up the runs and India retorted back in some style, with Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan leading the comeback with a 136-run partnership. India finish Day 3 with 231/3 and trail New Zealand by 125 runs but Virat Kohli's wicket, which came off the last ball of the day, is something which would sting India. New Zealand seemed to be on the backfoot with that spectacular partnership between Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan but the visitors will walk back to the dressing room happy with the wicket of the ex-India captain. India does have a lot of batting to come and with Sarfaraz Khan well set on 70, the hosts would want to reduce the deficit as soon as possible. India would be disappointed with Virat Kohli's dismissal but this batting effort has been a much-improved one, as they look to wipe off the lead on Day 4.

New Zealand would have been under the pump because of that partnership between Sarfaraz Khan and Virat Kohli but the latter, who had to scamper back hard to complete a double earlier in the over, has had a faint edge to the ball which was caught by Tom Blundell.
