India vs New Zealand Highlights 2nd T20I 2021: IND Seal Series With 7-Wicket Win

India win by seven wickets! That's it, victory here for India as Rishabh Pant smashes Jimmy Neesham for two back to back sixes. India seal series 2-0 with a game to go.  Another impressive show by the home side. New Zealand have been outplayed second time in space of three days!

India have lost two quick wickets but they are still in winning position and need just 11 more runs to win this match and series. Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer are in the middle now and will be looking to perform the finishing duties.

New Zealand finally manage to pick a wicket but it is more of a consolation wicket for the visitors. KL Rahul departs for 65 off just 49 balls. Meanwhile, India need 20 more runs to win. And yes, Rohit Sharma has completed his half-century as well.

India inching towards a fine win here. KL Rahul has gone past his half-century while Rohit Sharma is nearing towards his. meanwhile, India need 38 more runs to win from 42 balls.

India need 97 more runs to win from 72 balls. The required run rate for hosts is 8.08 and with ten wickets in hand this won't be a much of a problem. Meanwhile, the opening stand has gone past the 150-run mark.

End of Powerplay overs and India are off to a good start with KL Rahul doing the bulk of the scoring. Rohit Sharma is batting on run-a-ball 10 and has hit a six as well.

India will be happy with their performance at the back end of the first innings as the bowlers managed to curb the score after a strong start. Rohit Sharma will hope that the batters can get the job done 

So, that's the end of New Zealand's innings.  One feels the Blackcaps are 10-15 runs short. With heavy dew out there, New Zealand bowlers, it appears will have a tough time to grip the ball. Do join us back for India's response.

Mark Chapman has joined Daryl Mitchell in the middle and the duo look to take New Zealand's score forward. Rohit Sharma has thus far used his five bowlers as his search for second wicket continues. 

Breakthrough here for India. Martin Guptill is back in the hutch, Deepak Chahar strikes for India. After being hit for a six, Chahar makes a comeback and accounts for the right hander.

Both New Zealand openers have been sensational at the start of the innings, having displayed some brilliant shots. The dew has made it difficult for the bowlers so far which is expected to continue throughout the game.
