That's It! India were heavy favourites going into the game and once again they have played like one. Shafali Verma and Dayalan Hemalatha gave India a nice score with the bat and the bowlers led by Deepti Sharma defended it comfortable. India won all three of their group games and will enter the semifinal undefeated.
Out! Deepti Sharma in action again and this time it is Puja Mahato who is dismissed. Puja pushed the ball, set off for a run, turned back knowing that there is no run but was casual in walking inside the crease. Deepti pounced on the ball and knocked the stumps over. Puja Mahato run out (Deepti Sharma) 2(12).
Out! Nepal's innings is just collapsing at this moment. Deepti Sharma dismissed both Rubina Chhetry and Kabita Joshi in one over and the tail of the Nepal batting is out now. Deepti knocked over the stumps of Chhetry and one of her full deliveries caught Joshi flush in front of the stumps. India are narrowing on the win now. Rubina Chhetry b Deepti Sharma 15(16) and Kabita Joshi lbw b Deepti Sharma 0(2).
Out! Another body blow for Nepal and this time it is the wicket of captain Indu Barma. Nepal were struggling to accelerate and as Indu Barma attempted to go big, she didn't get enough on the contact and Shafali Verma took a comfortable catch. India are now looking at an win and a semifinal berth. Indu Barma c Shafali Verma b Radha Yadav 14(18).
Out! Kabita Kunwar get holed out in the hands of mid-off. The pressure of the asking rate was getting big and she took her chances only to miscue one from Renuka Singh straight to the hands of mid-off fielder. India continue to stay ahead in the game and Nepal are now struggling with the asking rate. Kabita Kunwar c Mandhana b Renuka Singh 6(11).
Out! Body blow for Nepal in just the second bowler. Their most in-form batter Samjhana Khadka gets dismissed by Arundhati Reddy. Khadka went hard on the ball but it sneaked between the huge gap between her bat and pad, rattling the stumps. India are on the move here. Samjhana Khadka b Arundhati Reddy 7(7).
India have put on a good score on the board but not what they have considered at the halfway mark. Shafali Verma and Dayalan Hemalatha stayed a little longer than they should have and their wickets meant the new batters didn't have enough time to settle. A little intent went missing in them middle overs and that has costed India nearly 25 runs. It is still a very good score and India will back themselves to defend it.
Out! Sajeevan Sajana departs. Kavita Joshi strikes this time. Sajana wanted to move across and access the square leg area but missed the ball and got caught infront of the wickets. Kajal Shrestha was almost pleading and the umpire responded positively to her appeal. S Sajana lbw b Kabita Joshi 10(12).
Out! One brings two and Sita Rana Magar is the one to do it again. Shafali Verma was charging at the bowler far too often and Magar noticed it. She slowed the next ball down with air in it, the ball dipped and turned out of the reach of Shafali and Kajal Shrestha did no mistake to knock her bails off. Shafali Verma st Kajal Shrestha b Sita Rana Magar 81(48).
Out! Finally the partnership breaks and Sita Rana Magar will be thanking Rubina Chhetry for it. Dayalan Hemalatha went for the big shot again but this time didn't get the required connection with the ball gently lobbing to Rubina Chhetry who grabbed the ball after two attempts. Hemalatha c Rubina Chhetry b Sita Rana Magar 47(42).

Jemimah Rodrigues Jams to 'Mere Sapno Ki Rani' With Fans After IND-W vs UAE-W Women's Asia Cup T20 2024 Match, Video Goes Viral.
India Women's National Cricket Team look a solid and settled unit so far in the competition. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma have showed they can give solid start in the opening and can be destructive if set as well. Harmanpreet Kaur has showed that she can take the anchor's role and do it well. Richa Ghosh has provided them with excellent finished. A slight concern remains with Dayalan Hemalatha's form and Jemimah Rodrigues' batting position. The bowling has been a settled unit as well although Harmanpreet would want to see Tanuj Kanwar in the game against Nepal for a bit longer.
Nepal Women's National Cricket Team, on the other hand, are heavily dependent on Samjhana Khadka and Indu Barma. Samjhana perfomed confidently in Nepal's dominant win in the first match against UAE and she was assisted by the all-round performance of Indu Barma. Nepal has two points on the board and their net run rate is not so good. It would take a miracle for them to trump Pakistan and get a spot in the semifinal but they would be looking to give their best at any condition.
