What a performance it has been from India! The bowlers set up this win for the Men in Blue as they took wickets right from the start and never really allowed Ireland's batters to gain any sort of momentum whatsoever. Hardik Pandya was the highest wicket-taker for India with three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah got two wickets while giving away just six runs in his three overs. Arshdeep Singh had provided India with a fiery start, dismissing both openers earlier in the innings. Having bowled out Ireland for just 96 runs, India then got to the total in 12.2 overs with Rohit Sharma scoring a half-century. It was an innings of caution mixed with aggression and which came to an end when he retired hurt, after earlier being struck on his arm off a ball from Josh Little. India have gained a lot of momentum ahead of the blockbuster showdown against Pakistan, with this victory.
