India will finally begin their Asia Cup 2018 campaign with the match against Hong Kong today at the Dubai International Stadium. Placed in Group A, both teams will leave no stone unturned to win the game. On one hand, where India will look forward to having a winning start at the tournament, on the other Hong Kong will want to win the game to avoid going the Sri Lanka way. Angelo Mathews’ led team crashed out of the tournament yesterday after getting beaten by 91 runs against Afghanistan. Coming to today, it is going to be a bit tough for both teams. All thanks to the scorching sun flashing down the sky.  Afghanistan beat Sri Lanka by 91 runs. 

As per Accuweather.com, the temperatures could rise up to 42-degree centigrade with obviously no trace of rainfall. With humidity being only 36%, the players will need a lot of hydration will playing on the ground. However, it could get cooler towards the evening. Check out the snapshot below:

Ahead of the match, Rohit Sharma the stand-in captain for the Asia Cup 2018, addressed the press and said how happy he was to Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav back in the squad. “Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav are important members of the team. Them making a comeback is good for the team. It is important for us that they perform well. I am happy that they are back. #AsiaCup2018.”

He also went on to say that he is a tad nervous to lead the team for the mega event. “I have captained India before for a tournament and it’s a big tournament for me. So I am nervous and excited,” said Rohit.
