It has been a day of thorough Indian dominance! Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin (playing his 100th Test match) spun a web around the Englishmen, restricting their first innings effort to just 218 runs. Zak Crawley continued his good form at the top of the order with 79 runs but apart from him, no other batter could get past the half-century mark despite having gotten off to starts. In the second innings of the match, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma continued to pile misery on England with a solid 104-run partnership before the former had to depart. Shoaib Bashir was the only England bowler with some success on Day 1 and India finish the proceedings well and truly on top, with just 83 runs behind.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continues his fine form in Test cricket as he completes 1000 runs in the format! What a series it has been for the youngster, who has impressed one and all with his performances! A very good start to a promising career. 

India have gotten off to a decent start in their first innings with Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal handling the early threat easily. England would need early wickets to have any shot of bouncing back.

OUT! England are all-out as they lost their last wicket in the name of James Anderson. The middle order of England completely failed and there was no on to rescue the team. Ravi Ashwin has completed his four-wicket haul.

OUT! Another wicket in quick succession as Ravindra Jadeja bamboozled Joe Root. Jadeja bowled a straight ball around the wicket and caught Root off guard. Root instantly went for the review which got wasted yet again.

OUT! And yet again it is Kuldeep Yadav from India who strikes as takes another wicket and dismisses Jonny Bairstow caught behind. Dhruv Jurel took a nice catch but Bairstow went for the review and England lost a review as ultra edge got a signal of ball edging the bat.

OUT! Kuldeep Yadav has struck once again as he takes down the set batsman Zak Crawley. Crawley comes forward but the ball dips on him and gets on the stumps directly. It was a gem of a delivery by Kuldeep.

England's batters are looking back in control after they lost two wickets in the first session. They will look to carry on with their proper judgment. Indian seamers are trying their level best but the ball is failing to find an outside edge.

OUT! Kuldeep Yadav bowled a beautiful googly which was mistimed by Ben Duckett. The ball went straight up in the air and was there for a long time. Shubman Gill took a sensational catch as the ball was in the air and was travelling. Kuldeep Yadav and India now have their first wicket.

Zack Crawley and Ben Duckett have completed a 50 partnership for the first wicket and are getting used to India's bowling attack for the time. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohhamed Siraj have controlled the match but haven't been able to take a wicket. Crawley and Duckett are looking a bit stable on the crease now.

Indian pacers have started well. There hasn't been a wicket in their name but they are taking full advantage of the pitch as it was said to be on the fast bowler's side. With this attack continuing we can see a wicket falling soon. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are doing very well with the movement of the ball.
